Read about our successful Hartlebury Common BioBlitz

Last weekend’s BioBlitz on Hartlebury Common was a great success.  Organised by the FSCBiolinks project with assistance from the Hartlebury Common Local Group the event saw a Moth trapping event on the Friday evening followed by a program of guided activities and walks on the Saturday.  The weather was good and many species were recorded (further details of these will be announced once they have been collated).

The Hartlebury Common Local Group would like to thank all those involved for there hard work during the event.  Thanks to all that led activities/walks:  Rosemary Winnall, Mike Averill, Kevin McGee, Joy Rooney,  Mike Lomax and Darren Mann.

Thanks to all that worked the Moth Night:  Tony Simpson, Steve Whitehouse, Oliver Wadsworth, Patrick Clement, Mike Southall, Jaswinder Boparai, Gail Hampshire, et al.

Thanks to all the volunteers from Hartlebury Common Local Group, FSCBiolinks and the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust who helped out throughout the event.   Thanks to Charlie Bell of FSCBiolinks for organising the event and keeping it running smoothly.  A big thank you to the Old Rose and Crown Pub for being so welcoming and accommodating.

Finally, our thanks go to each and every person who came along to participate in the events or undertake biological recording during the course of the day.
